A little smoosh faced toy dog found us and we're putting up found fliers to get her back to her home. With three other dogs in the house it's been a loud chaotic morning.
Pancake keeps going along.
I cut a hole you can see in the bottom of the head. The chest socket should be a good fit. Got to build up the shoulders now. The dip running across the shoulders is where the string channel and sockets are going. I made angled shoulder balls too figuring that will help.
I'm also thinking one of these days if I should try the step by step by step instructions in one of the doll making books instead of taking from them what I feel I could use.
Or not.
I figured out why Blythe rerooting costs so much. Once you've bought a scalp you need lots and lots of hair, depending on the length. The math to go around the head says 5-6 of the 38" Dolly Hair hanks that I like cut in half, so roughly that's 12 pieces. I'm seriously thinking about color change Pilot hair or half black and half white although pink might work. It's seriously cheaper to buy wigs for her.
Although at that many hanks she could totally go Dark Side of the Moon, half size rainbow colors and sparkle black with the light beam in glow in the dark.
Looking at Scaris Frankie her dark lips may work with that dark dark green foorting hair I have.
Now I'm thinking that even though it's short the purple black might work on Draculara but no rerooting until the blue hair arrives and that reroot I will be very tempted to keep.
=points at Princess of Japan Barbie= I HAZ that girl right thar!!!!
I could not help myself, hehe~ She was a b-day gift 8 years ago and it's so dusty in this house I've never taken her out of the box. I keep her on display in her box, though. ^_^
I really should just make a dolly display case... >_<;;;
Nice work on pancake. It's really coming along! ^_^
And your knitting is SO chocolatey-sundae! *___*
